With colleagues I've been developing guidance on rapid response collecting following unforeseen events. These might include protests and demonstrations, as well as tragic incidents.
This aims to provide people working in archives with a range of approaches and practical advice. The guidance includes case studies as well as practical conservation advice.
The launch event will provide colleagues with an introduction to the guidance, how we developed it, and will include case studies from archive services with experience of rapid response collecting.
